TestBites ("TestBites," "we," "us") is a mobile application that helps students prepare for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, PSAT, and SSAT) through short daily practice, and helps their parents set up and follow a study plan. 2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your name and email address when you create an account (via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
• Study-plan information — for parents, details you enter to set up a learner: the learner's name and email, grade level, target test, sections, and session frequency.
• Practice content — your answers to practice questions, scores, time spent, streaks, bookmarks, and related progress data.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — how you interact with the app (for example, sessions started and completed, features used) to understand and improve the product.
• Device & diagnostic data — basic technical information and, where enabled, crash and performance diagnostics to keep the app stable.
• Identifiers — an account user identifier that links your activity (such as practice sessions) to your account.

We do not use this information to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and we do not show third-party advertising.

3. How we use information

• To provide core app functionality — sign-in, study plans, practice sessions, scoring, streaks, and progress.
• To connect a parent's account with their learner's account so the right study plan and progress appear.
• To send a daily practice reminder (only if you allow notifications) and, where enabled, account emails such as confirmation and password reset.
• To understand usage and improve features, and to diagnose and fix problems.
• To protect the security and integrity of the service and comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing & service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the app:

• Supabase — hosts our database and authentication and stores your account, study-plan, and practice data.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, app distribution, and (if enabled) push notifications.
• Google — Google Sign-In, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Analytics / diagnostics provider — to measure usage and capture crash/performance data, where enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

5. Children's privacy

TestBites is designed to be set up and managed with parental involvement. Because some learners are minors, we take extra care:

• A parent or guardian creates and configures the learner's study plan and invites the learner to join.
• We collect only the information needed to provide the learning experience and do not use children's information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• A parent or guardian may review, export, or request deletion of their learner's information by contacting us, or by using the in-app data export and account deletion tools.

If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us at privacy@testbites.app and we will delete it. [Confirm with counsel whether COPPA (under-13) and/or other youth-privacy obligations apply to your audience and add specifics.]

6. Your choices & rights

• Access & export — you can export your data from within the app (Account settings → Export my data).
• Deletion — you can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Account settings → Delete account), or by contacting us.
• Notifications — you can turn the daily reminder on or off in your device settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data). Contact us to exercise them.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our backend, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.

9. International transfers
